PvdA investigates fraud with voting members council | Inland

This involved proposals for cooperation with GroenLinks and negotiations with the VVD, D66 and CDA about the formation of a new cabinet. A proposal not to rule with Mark Rutte’s VVD did not come to the vote because it had been shot down via another proposal.

Paul Groenen then reported on Twitter: “Always laugh with the PvdA. Googling PvdA membership number, get a code, vote! I am not a member.”

Spokesperson Wouter Booij of the party board confirms that this person has been given a voting code. No ‘control questions’ were asked of this person. “It should have been. We are of course now checking all requested voting codes. So far this is the only one.”

Several members in the room expressed confusion about the state of affairs. Some spoke of ‘our CDA moment’, referring to the turbulent CDA congress of 2010 where it was decided to cooperate with the PVV in the tolerance construction of the Rutte-I cabinet. There was also a joke about last summer’s CDA party leader election, in which members who had voted for Pieter Omtzigt were notified that they had voted for the other candidate. An active member: “Soon we as PvdA members will receive the message: Thank you for your vote for Hugo de Jonge.”
