Putin is not going to war with NATO because it has more money

“We have no aggressive intentions towards these [NATO] countries. We wouldn’t have done anything in Ukraine either, if there hadn’t been a coup d’état there, but then there were military actions in Donbas,” Putin said.

He expressed such an opinion during a meeting with representatives of the Russian army, reports the Russian independent media “The Moscow Times”.

It should be emphasized here that these statements by Putin are outright lies, as he has threatened the West countless times and also stated that Ukraine is not a real country at all.

Putin said that the US military budget in 2022 was 811 billion dollars, while Russia’s was only 72 billion dollars.

“Given this relationship, we are really going to war with NATO, yes? These are some kind of nightmares,” said the dictator.

Less than two weeks ago, Putin admitted that Russia could be involved in a full-scale military conflict with NATO.

“I believe that everything is possible in today’s world. It is clear to everyone that this will be the last step before a full-scale third world war,” Putin announced on March 17.

Last December, the United States warned of the growing military threat posed by Russia to NATO members. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin warned that the loss of Ukraine in the war against Russia would inevitably lead to war between Russia and NATO, and that Putin would not stop in his efforts to seize territories from neighboring countries.

On the other hand, representatives of NATO member states expressed the opinion that the alliance should prepare for a war with Russia, which could happen in the next 20 years.

Experts from the US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) also believe that Putin is preparing for war against NATO in the long term.
