Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that the war that broke out four days ago between the Israeli army and Hamas was a failure for the United States.
TASS quoted the Russian President as saying that the United States, which “tried to monopolize the settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict, did not take into account the basic interests of the Palestinian people.”
He added: “I mean, first and foremost, the necessity of implementing UN Security Council resolutions” related to the Palestinian issue.
He stressed that the Palestinian issue will be resolved through the establishment of a sovereign state.
