Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Troops Russia is now striking a new target in Eastern Ukraine, the Donestk region. This comes after President Vladimir Putin declared victory in the neighboring province of Luhansk after months of fighting.
Donetsk and Luhansk are Donbas. This region is an industrial area of Ukraine.
According to Ukrainian officials, Moscow troops attacked a number of cities in Donestk, such as Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. Heavy attacks have occurred since Monday night.

Tuesday, Russia bombarded markets and residential areas in Sloviansk. This killed at least two people and injured seven others.
“Russia has once again deliberately targeted areas where civilians congregate,” Donetsk Governor Pavlo Kyrylenko wrote in a Facebook post. ReutersWednesday (6/7/2022).
“This is truly terrorism.”
The local government also asked 350,000 residents to evacuate. Sirens also blared throughout the city.
Earlier, Putin congratulated the troops involved in the battle of Luhansk in a televised advice Monday. He asked them to rest and restore readiness to take other territories in Ukraine.
Ukraine itself acknowledged the troop withdrawal. But Zelenskyy’s adviser, Oleksiy Arestovych, said that Russia’s seizure of Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk had inflicted heavy losses on Moscow, let alone it took a long time, 90 days.
“This is the last victory for Russia on Ukrainian territory,” Arestovych promised in an online video.
The war between Russia and Ukraine has left at least 4700 people dead, according to UN figures. Not only that, the world is on the verge of a recession, due to the high prices of energy and food, due to war, sanctions and reprisals.
