Purnomo Not Ready to Become the Gibran-Teguh Winning Team: I Want To Rest

SOLO, KOMPAS.com – Vice Mayor Solo Achmad Purnomo stated that they were not willing to become the winning team for the candidate for the mayor and deputy mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Teguh Prakosa on Solo regional election 2020.

Purnomo admitted that he had delivered the notification letter via WhatsApp short message to the Chairperson of the DPC PDI-P as well as the chairman of the Paslon winning team Gibran-Teguh.

“After I isolated myself, I pondered, I made a notice through WA to Rudy the same to the leader of the Putut winning team if I was not willing to be anything. I want rest like that, “said Purnomo when contacted by reporters in Solo, Central Java, Monday (07/27/2020).

The notice, said Purmomo, was immediately responded by the Chairman of the DPC PDI-P FX Hadi Rudyatmo.

“If Mr. Rudy answers ‘yes, it’s okay to just maintain health,’ so Mr. Rudy,” said Purnomo.

Purnomo revealed the reason he was not willing to become the Gibran-Teguh winning team because he wanted to focus on resting.

Purnomo assessed that the Gibran-Teguh pair certainly won the 2020 Solo regional election even without him joining the winning team.

“I don’t think I need to be active in the Solo regional elections, but without me Gibran will definitely win,” said Purnomo.

Previously reported, the Chairperson of the Solo PDI-P DPC FX Hadi Rudyatmo would include Achmad Purnomo as an advisor to the winning team of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming-Teguh Prakosa in the 2020 Solo Regional Election.

The man who also serves as the Mayor of Solo claimed to have coordinated with Purnomo related to his request.

“Later (Achmad Purnomo) we will be included in the winning team as advisors,” Rudy said in Solo, Central Java, Thursday (07/23/2020).

Rudy said that the request to Purnomo as an advisor was because the winning team had been chaired by Putut Gunawan who was also the Deputy Chair of the DPC PDI-P Solo Election.

“The head of the Putut winning team. I am in charge because of the Chairperson of the DPC. His advisor is (Achmad Purnomo), I ask to be an advisor,” said Rudy.
