PT Pertamina President Commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok visited the KPK building today. Ahok came to the KPK to be questioned as a witness.
“It has arrived, indeed,” said Head of KPK News Affairs Ali Fikri at the KPK building, South Jakarta, Tuesday (7/11/2023).
Ali said Ahok was questioned as a witness in a suspected corruption case related to LNG procurement in 2012. He has not explained what he asked Ahok. Ahok has served as Commissioner of Pertamina since 2019.
“Investigating cases of alleged corruption related to procurement liquefied natural gas (LNG) at PT PTMN (Pertamina) in 2011-2021 with the suspect GKK (Galaila Karen Kardinah or Karen Agustiawan),” he said.
“The investigative team scheduled the summons and examination of witness Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (PT Pertamina Commissioner). The information we obtained was that the witness was present,” he continued.
In this case, the KPK has named Karen, who is the former Managing Director of Pertamina, as a suspect. This alleged corruption case occurred in 2012. The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) said that this alleged corruption caused state losses of IDR 2.1 trillion.
