PSV selection delayed by a lost bird towards Monaco | PSV

The PSV selection left Eindhoven an hour later than planned on Monday for Monaco, where the team will complete the away game against AS Monaco in the third Champions League preliminary rounds on Tuesday evening.

A bird flew into the aircraft engines at Eindhoven Airport and as a result the aircraft had to remain on the ground. After an hour the problem was solved and Ruud van Nistelrooij’s team could still start the journey. The players had to get up early on Monday morning, but that didn’t save time. An airport spokesperson confirms that the uninvited animal caused problems.

PSV is still training in the AS Monaco stadium on Monday evening, where Van Nistelrooij gives a press conference. A total of 22 players traveled to the crucial away game. The coach is still thinking about his position.
