PSG’s Rondo Game Leaves Buffon Impressed

Jakarta

Even though he only played for one season Paris Saint Germain, Gianluigi Buffon have sweet memories. This is how the Italian goalkeeper confessed!

Buffon appeared for PSG in the 2018/2019 season after leaving Juventus. He earned 25 appearances in all competitions.

The goalkeeper, who is now 45 years old, basically likes to play for PSG, but chose to return to Juventus because the following season he was only allowed to be a back-up player. Buffon is very impressed with PSG, especially regarding the way of training.

“Rondos (practice passing one touch) they are stunning. What they lack, however, is an attitude like Juventus because the team is very strong,” Buffon told Bobo TV.

Buffon was sure PSG could win the Champions League title that season. His hopes then vanished after being kicked out by Manchester United in the round of 16.

PSG actually pocketed a 2-0 advantage in the first leg when they won at home to MU. Les Parisiens instead fell 1-3 in Paris and were eliminated due to the aggressiveness of away goals which was still valid at that time.

“The game against Manchester United is the biggest regret of my career. In Paris, I understood how strong Marco Verratti was. I didn’t realize he was so special,” he continued.
