Zinedine Zidane touted to be one of the strong candidates for coach Paris Saint Germain. However, the management of Les Parisiens strongly denied the issue.
PSG are busy looking for a new coach after being dissatisfied with Mauricio Pochettino’s achievements during his 18 months there. Pochettino only won one Ligue 1 title despite being supported by an extraordinary squad.
Pochettino’s situation is getting worse because of the news of disharmony with the star players. Even Kylian Mbappe is said to have asked management to kick Pochettino as soon as possible.
According to the latest news, Pochettino is just waiting to be sacked and PSG are looking for a new coach. Several names had already appeared, but only two were the strongest.
They are Christophe Galtier who now manages Nice and Zinedine Zidane. For Zidane, PSG is clearly chasing the coach who has been unemployed for a year.
With Zidane’s experience dealing with star-studded Real Madrid, PSG can expect a lot of success in Europe. However, rumors about Zidane going to PSG were denied by club boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
According to Al Khelaifi, Zidane is indeed the coach but no talks have taken place before this. He also confirmed that Zidane was not a target for PSG.
“I want to say something important about Zidane. I really like him as a player and I certainly want to have him as a coach, I really like him,” said Nasser Al Khelaifi as quoted Brand.
“But we never spoke with him, either directly or indirectly. I really respect and appreciate him. There have been many issues about it in the media, but we have never met him,” he continued.
