Remember when Sony, while unveiling the details on PlayStation 5 backward compatibility, provided us with one list of incompatible games? The list included ten games, most of which little known: well, now we learn that they are not the only ones who cannot run on PS5!
In a new article dedicated to Ubisoft Connect, cross-platform and cross-generational service that will connect the games of the house to a single ecosystem, Ubisoft has provided a list with eight PlayStation 4 games that will not be compatible with PS5, among which four titles in the Assassin’s Creed series stand out, including Syndicate.
- Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles China
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Russia
- Risk
- Star Trek Bridge Crew
- Werewolves Within
- Space Junkies
To these is also added Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy Pack, a collection containing the three Assassin’s Creed from the Chronicles series. Interestingly, all the aforementioned games will have no problem in the Microsoft ecosystem – their respective Xbox One versions they will work fine on Xbox Series S | X thanks to the house’s backward compatibility program. With the eight Ubisoft productions, the number of PS4 games not working on PS5 rises to 18.
Update – A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed to the editors of Gematsu that the Ubisoft Connect post is incorrect and has therefore been completely removed, along with any references to the non-backward compatibility of the games mentioned above
