If you reach for physical releases of PlayStation 4 games at the end of the year, you may find additional information on the box. Sony confirms which games will be upgraded to the PS5 version.

In the following months, a whole lot of production will debut on the market, which will allow players to take advantage of a free or paid update from the current to the next generation. One such game is Immortals Fenyx Rising by Ubisoft (read our impressions) and it was on the box of this item that an important note appeared.
“PS5 Upgrade Available” has been added to the cover, which confirms that it is in this position that we will get the opportunity to take advantage of the said update. Sony has not opted for a program similar to Xbox Smart Delivery, so in this situation the details appearing on the box may be relevant to many players.
It has already been confirmed that Marvel’s Avengers, Cyberpunk 2077 and Destiny 2, among others, will offer a free upgrade from PS4 to PS5, but unfortunately this will not be the standard for all publishers. Activision revealed that, for example Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will receive an additional, more expensive versionthat will allow you to play the title on two generations.
