The two teams meet for the second time this season. The Cavaliers won the last game on October 23, with Ricky Rubio scoring 23 points in the win. In their last game, the Cavaliers suffered their second straight loss on the road to out of form Pelicans. Although Ricky Rubio led the Cavaliers with 27 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists, Cleveland fell short. Rubio has since been placed on the Covid-19 roster and will therefore not be able to play against the Hawks. He thus joins Darius Garland, Cedi Osman and Jarrett Allen who are all unavailable. The Cavs’ defensive quality was called into question against the Pelicans, who managed to score 108 points with a fairly poor roster, let’s be honest. Cleveland has conceded 101.6 points per game this season, and must regain its former defensive efficiency.
Atlanta Hawks: topicality and form
The Hawks struggled last week and lost four of their last five games. They will try to end their losing streak with a victory over the Cavaliers. Much of the team’s problems have been defensive. The Hawks are conceding 110.3 points per game. They gave up 131 points in their last game and will have to put in a better effort if they are to win this game. John Collins, Lou Williams, Danilo Gallinari, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kevin Huerter, and Onyeka Okongwu will not play in the meeting after being placed on the COVID-19 roster.
The absence of Ricky Rubio makes us think that Trae Young and his Hawks will register more points than their hosts. We advise you to bet on an Atlanta win.
