In cooperation with the Bavarian Ministry of Digital and local IT experts, the city supports retailers, restaurateurs and service providers with digitization free of charge.
According to a press release, many small businesses are currently facing existential challenges due to the corona crisis. One component of mastering this can be the optimization and digitization of entrepreneurial areas and processes.
The “I’m going online” project brings selected small businesses together with experts: within 24 hours, suitable digital solutions are developed and implemented as part of one-to-one support.
Aktion offers digital neighborhood assistance
Small business owners learn to assess the strengths and weaknesses of their business models and thus to plan the medium and long-term goals of their development. The results are documented and made available to everyone with similar problems.
The topics can be varied and different: from the digital adaptation of business models and the construction of websites, to the introduction of a delivery service or an online shop to the optimal use of social media.
The campaign brings together affected retailers, restaurateurs and service providers with proven Internet experts in an uncomplicated manner and thus offers digital neighborhood assistance, Judith Gerlach, Minister of State for Digital, is quoted as saying.
The workshops will take place on May 12th
Würzburg’s Mayor Christian Schuchardt added: “The corona pandemic hit us and our economy unprepared and with full severity. Now it is time to look ahead and use the possibilities of digitization positively.”
Interested small business owners from Würzburg from the retail, service and catering sectors with a maximum of 15 employees can apply for the free support and advice from now, but only until this Thursday, May 7th.
Experts from marketing and communication, e-commerce, project management, consulting and finance are also sought who want to support the project. After a selection of the participants, the workshops will take place on Tuesday, May 12th.
