Private Jet Crash in Malaysia: Victim Sends Selfie Before Tragic Event

Jakarta

A victim of a private jet crash in Malaysia sent a selfie to a family group before the crash. He said, it was not usual for the victim to send a selfie.

Quoted from Named, Monday (21/8/2023), Norsahirah Omar (29) revealed that her older sister, Shaharul Amir Omar (49), was one of the victims of a private jet crashing on the main road in Elmina City, Shah Alam, Thursday (17/8). Shaharul sent a selfie photo to the family WhatsApp group. The photo is the last photo before the tragic event occurred.

“He never sends selfies. Usually, he shares photos of the places he visits to the family WhatsApp group,” said Norsahirah.

That unusual thing, according to Norsyahirah, showed that her sister was very enthusiastic on the flight. He also suspected that Shaharul was very happy to be on the plane.

“He must have been very excited to be on that flight, it was not as usual. He told us how happy he was to be on the flight and said it was a treat from his boss… Maybe he knew that he would leave us,” said Norsyahirah .

Shaharul was one of eight people on board the private jet on Thursday. The cause of the plane crash is still a mystery because there was no emergency call.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) said the accident occurred in Elmina City, Shah Alam, Thursday (17/8). There were a total of six passengers and two crew members on board the plane. The flight is scheduled to land at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang at 14.49 local time.

In addition to all the crew and passengers on board the plane were killed, the car and motorcycle riders who were hit by the plane when it crashed also died.
