Private clinics already treat patients with coronavirus, even in intensive care

This reality has led the government to request help from clinics and sanatoriums. The private sector from the outset made available but required urgent meetings with the government since they were left in the position of trying to readjust, taking into account that they are currently still treating other pathologies, a question far from less in the current healthcare landscape.

After maintaining dialogue between both parties, There are already 3 clinics that have signed an agreement with the Ministry of Health and are already treating patients with a positive diagnosis of covid-19.

The novelty is that they not only serve people with mild and moderate symptoms, as had been agreed, but also those who require intensive care.

Cesar Scaro, president of the Jujuy Chamber of Health Companies spoke with Channel 2 of Jujuy about this situation.

The Government and Private Clinics: What’s the Situation?

There are three clinics that signed an agreement with the Ministry of Health, by which we take care of each clinic with a number of beds for covid patients, mild and moderate patients, although we are also undergoing intensive therapy “.

We are already attending, we had to prepare the room to isolate it and attend to positive patients. We are already attending, we had to prepare the room to isolate it and attend to positive patients.

We even had patients who were transferred directly from SAME to be intubated for therapy. At first we were only going to treat mild and moderate, so I imagine that they must be, I do not know if collapsed or no longer available in the hospitals ”, Said the representative of the Chamber.

Scaro warned that “people are arriving with social work but also without social work. The social works are responding some and others not, so we call for them to provide coverage ”.

“I think that an agreement should be made for patients with intensive care to agree and unify criteria about care.”

The Clinica del Rosario, Lavalle and Nuestra Señora de Fátima are the ones that made beds available for people with coronavirus.

According to Scaro, in the particular case of Lavalle, they were practically fully occupied ”.
