Freiburg / Lörrach (dpa / lsw) – A 53-year-old man was found dead in his cell during pre-trial detention in the Lörrach prison. An autopsy did not reveal any evidence of third-party debt, said a spokeswoman for the Freiburg public prosecutor on Wednesday. The man was found dead on February 2. He was suspected of having taught children at a school in Lörrach between 2014 and summer 2020, despite a professional ban, and of having sexually abused a child. He had been in custody since mid-November 2020.
