Princess Sofia of Sweden (35) helps out during the corona crisis in a private hospital, the “Sophia-Heim” (Swedish: “Sophiahemmet”). The wife of Carl Philip (40) completed a three-day training as a hospital assistant.

The princess will not work directly on the patient. A spokeswoman for the clinic explains what tasks Sofia and the other volunteers will take care of: “Disinfect medical equipment, take over shifts in the kitchen and clean.” This relieves the nursing staff on site.

Prince Harry and Meghan help in Los Angeles
Judging from the recordings, Sofia is happy to be able to help during the Corona crisis. After her apprenticeship, she shines proudly into the camera.

There are still no corona patients in the “Sophia home”, but many hospital employees are deployed in the intensive care units of other clinics. Princess Sofia has been honorary chair of the facility since 2016. This was named after Queen Sophia of Sweden (1836-1913). «Being able to help in this difficult time is extremely rewarding. Thank you.”

Other royals are also useful. For example, Prince Harry (35) and his wife Meghan (38) reported to a charity organization in their new adopted home, Los Angeles. They distributed food to corona risk patients. (paf)
