Swedish Princess Madeleine (40) is very committed to children’s rights, and was among several who spoke out in the much talked about debate about the Balenciaga campaign.
The images, which were used in the campaign from the luxury fashion house, show children posing with teddy bears wearing BDSM accessories. The princess’s comment on the matter was unexpected, because royals rarely interfere in such matters.

“I am shocked and disgusted that children are used in a sexual context. The use of ‘bondage bears’ is an implicit reference to the sexualization of children and the pedophile world. It’s NOT okay” was among what the princess wrote on Instagram then.

The commitment to children’s rights was the reason why she published the book “Stella and the Secret” in 2019.

Madeleine wrote the book in collaboration with the World Childhood Foundation, an organization the princess has worked closely with over many years.
