The Danish royal family has every reason to rejoice today. Princess Isabella (15) has now been confirmed, and for the occasion, friends and family have gathered to celebrate her on the big day.
The confirmation marks the princess’ transition from child to adult – at least traditionally.
Disappointing message for the princess
On Saturday morning, Isabella, together with the royal family, arrived at Fredensborg Castle Church where the confirmation took place. It was also where she was baptized on July 1, 2007.

On the Danish royal family’s website, as well as Instagram, completely fresh photos of Princess Isabella are now shared with others in the royal family. Among other parents Crown Prince Frederik (53), Crown Princess Mary (50) and siblings Prince Christian (16), Prince Vincent (11) and Princess Josephine (11).

On the occasion of the confirmation, a number of royal fans had lined up at the church to witness the princess’ arrival. According to the Danish Picturemagazine it was full of cheers.
However, although Princess Isabella’s confirmation was in many ways reminiscent of any other royal confirmation, there was one point where the confirmant stood out.
According to See and Hear royal house expert Caroline Vagle, Princess Isabella breaks the tradition on confirmation day.
Fronted vaccine-skeptical designer
– The princess has dressed in a white suit on the occasion of the day, and according to the Danes in this way breaks the tradition of the princesses dressing in a dress on the day of confirmation, says Vagle, and adds:
– I cheer for that with all my heart! Everyone must be allowed to dress in what they feel most comfortable in. She simply looks super cool, and shows that she is as quiet as her always so well-dressed mother, Crown Princess Mary.
