Second official task
The trip to Norway is the second official task for Princess Amalia, who herself turned 18 on December 7. A day later, the princess was introduced to the Council of State by her father, King Willem-Alexander: her first official task as princess.
It is not entirely against expectations that Amalia visits Ingrid Alexandra, because heirs to the throne and monarchs often spend time with their peers. King Willem-Alexander (55) is friends with the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria (44), who is also Amalia’s godmother. The Dutch king is also friends with the Danish crown prince Frederik (54) and with the Spanish royal couple Felipe (54) and Letizia (49).
