RoyaltyBritain’s Prince Harry, 37, is under fire after he was seen at the Stockyards Rodeo in Fort Worth, Texas. His presence there is sensitive, given that his wife Meghan Markle (40) is a known animal rights activist.

Harry wasn’t there by accident, either, as he was all decked out for the occasion. The prince wore jeans, a shirt and a cowboy hat. “It’s funny that most people didn’t recognize him,” a witness told the Daily Mail. The person in question also took some photos, which show that it was indeed Prince Harry. Those photos were forwarded to royalty watcher Omid Scobie, a close friend of Harry and Meghan’s. He also shared the image on Twitter.

“Once we realized it was him, we thought it was strange,” the witness continues. “His wife, who is much better known here, stands up for animal rights. And the rodeo is not exactly known for animal friendliness, on the contrary.”

In the past, a Buckingham Palace insider revealed that Harry had stopped hunting. “He used to do that, like many royals, for the sport. He then went out with his brother, William. But now he doesn’t hunt anymore, because Meghan doesn’t think that’s okay.” What his wife had to say about his rodeo trip is not yet known.
