Britain’s Prince Harry spoke with his older brother Prince William for the first time since the interview Harry and his wife Megan gave to American TV presenter Oprah Winfrey, but the conversation “was not productive”, BTA reported, citing a relative of the couple.
In an interview broadcast on CBS on March 7, Megan said a member of the royal family asked how dark their son Archie’s skin could be. Prince Harry said that his father, Crown Prince Charles, had disappointed him and felt trapped.
Last Thursday, Prince William said publicly that he had not yet spoken to his brother, but intended to do so and reassured reporters that the royal family was not racist. Gail King, who hosts CBS’s “This Morning” show, said she spoke with Harry and Megan over the weekend and that the conversation between the two brothers took place.
“Yes, it’s true, Harry talked to his brother and his father, too, and what they told me was that these conversations weren’t productive, but they’re glad they at least started talking,” she said.
Prince William’s office at Kensington Palace did not comment on King’s statement.
