ROYALTY Meghan Markle (42) was not at the presentation of the aerospace prize that Prince Harry (39) had won last Friday. The Duchess of Sussex stayed home because one of their children was sick. This was reported by the British news agency ‘PA Media’.
Prince Harry was included in the Living Legends of Aviation on Friday for his work in the British army. Meghan was actually supposed to attend the glamorous ceremony at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, which was hosted by John Travolta. But the Duchess of Sussex had to cancel at the last minute after one of their children fell ill. It is not known whether 4-year-old Archie or 2-year-old Lilibet was ill.
The prince was named a ‘legend of aviation’ for flying a helicopter through Afghanistan during his service with the British Army. The Duke of Sussex served in the army for ten years and took part in several training and combat missions. The prestigious title previously went to astronauts Neal Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.

Criticism
However, various media believe that Harry has not earned the title enough and that other people were more eligible for the prize. For example, there are other notable achievements, such as that of Charles Duke, who in 1972 at the age of 36 became the youngest person to walk on the moon, that have never been rewarded. There is also a lot of criticism on social media. “I look forward to seeing every other military pilot in the world receive this award for their achievements… Harry has done nothing more or less than them. He just gets it because he is a prince,” someone writes on X. And also: “Is this a joke? A legend? Can someone please explain to me the legendary things Harry has done?”
