Prince Harry doesn’t just talk about mental health, he practices self-care whenever he can. The parent recognizes that as busy parents, sometimes taking care of one’s own needs gets lost along the way. “Self-care is the first thing you lose. I’m happy to admit it, as a husband and as a father,” He said.
But the Duke continues to strive to find time for himself. “Okay, one of the kids is off to school. The other one is taking a nap. There’s a break in our show. It’s like, okay, it’s for exercise, walking the dog, going out in nature, maybe to meditate”, shared Prince Harry.
Harry advocated for more help for working parents who don’t have time to regularly practice self-care. “You can’t expect people to work on themselves if you don’t give them time to do it,” He said. “When people focus on inner work, these people are better at work and they are better at home.”
Even as a member of the Royal Family, Harry strives to be a perfect father just like anyone else. “No matter what I put into it, I’m always kicking myself saying, ‘If you had done this, this, this, that you know works for you, then you wouldn’t be in this state right now.'” Harry said.
Fortunately for Meghan and Harry, Lillibet is much calmer than her older brother. Her father said, “We’ve been very lucky so far. … (She) seems happy sitting while Archie runs around like crazy.”
