But since Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are no ordinary Swiss couple, their spending isn’t comparable either. According to the “Daily Mail”, Meghan had already spent over 90,000 francs on fashion in 2022. But that’s peanuts compared to the cost of her home in Santa Barbara, California. The Daily Mail estimates that they bought the villa for 13 million francs with a mortgage of 8.5 million francs which they now have to pay each year. Cost, including interest: CHF 430,000 per year. In addition, there are property taxes of 60,000 francs, personnel costs of 270,000 francs, and electricity and water bills of 20,000 francs – all per year, of course.
