The two ministers reviewed developments in the Saudi-American initiative to host representatives of the two parties in Jeddah, which aims to prepare the necessary ground for dialogue to reduce the level of tensions there, in a way that guarantees the security and stability of Sudan and its brotherly people.

Khartoum is witnessing intermittent clashes, despite the two parties to the conflict announcing the extension of the armistice for 72 hours.

With the continuation of these confrontations, several international parties are trying to move in order to put pressure on the two parties to the conflict to negotiate.
