Prime Minister Johnson and wife expect second child after miscarriage | show

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie are having a second child, British media report. The child is expected in December.

On Instagram, Carrie says that she had a miscarriage earlier this year, which left her “intensely sad”. The coming period will be exciting for her. “I feel incredibly blessed to be pregnant again, but also incredibly nervous.” She shares the news because she wants to support all people with fertility problems. “On social media, it seems like everything is just going well. I personally found it comforting to hear from people who have also experienced loss.”

It is the second child for Johnson and Symonds, who welcomed their first child Wilfred in April last year. In late May, 57-year-old Johnson secretly married his partner, 24 years his junior, Carrie Symonds in a church ceremony. Johnson and Symonds were the first unmarried couple ever to move into the 10 Downing Street official residence.

For Johnson, it is his third marriage. He was previously married to Allegra Mostyn-Owen and Marina Wheeler. With the latter he had four children. Johnson also has an illegitimate daughter.
