Primary Key Memory Cells Against Pathogens

People who have had the virus will generally develop memory cells. These cells help the production of antibodies from B cells run quickly and can form substances that can activate T cells and white blood cells that function as macrophages.
T cells or T-cells are part of the body’s immune system that focuses on certain foreign particles. T cells play an important role in the immune system against foreign substances.
Mark Davis, professor of microbiology and immunology, director of the Stanford Institute of Immunity, Transplant and Infection and researcher at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Mark Davis, PhD, says memory T cells appear when activated by antigens such as cancer or vaccinations during repeated infections.
In a second infection with the same antigen that has occurred before, memory T cells will proliferate very rapidly and provide a stronger immune response. “Many of these killer T cells are in memory mode,” Davis said.
Memory cells are by far the most active in defense against infectious diseases. These cells need to be possessed to fight repeated invading pathogens. It was the vaccine that was meant to be produced.
According to the head of the immunotherapy laboratory at the University of Bar-Ilan, Professor Cyrille Cohen, to verify whether a person is protected from corona either after recovering or after being vaccinated the most commonly used tool is to assess the presence of antibodies and their levels.
“Although more difficult to evaluate, T-cell memory is a fundamental factor in immunity to viruses and may be able to ensure protection after antibodies are lost,” Cohen said.
“We have two immune systems in the body, one called the innate immune system, and one called the adaptive immune system,” Cohen continued.
Together with B cells as antibody makers, memory T cells are useful in killing pathogenic cells in the body when infected with viruses. there is / I-1
