Prices for Agya-Calya and friends compared to Wuling Air ev with subsidies are slightly different!

Jakarta

Wuling Air ev is in the spotlight after the government plans to provide subsidies to electric car consumers. As the cheapest electric car in Indonesia, buying a Wuling Air ev in the future will be cheaper thanks to government subsidies.

“We will calculate the subsidy amount, but about Rp. 80 million will be incentivized for the purchase of electric cars, for the purchase of hybrid electric cars an incentive of Rp. will be given an incentive of about Rp. 8 million thereafter , while the transformation of the engine into an electric motorcycle will receive an incentive of around 5 million rupees,” said Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.

If all goes according to plan, that means the government will provide an Rs 80 million subsidy for electric car consumers. Therefore, to offer the lowest variant of Wuling Air ev, consumers need to spend only IDR 158 million. This price position is not much different from cars in the Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) segment.

Just for comparison, currently the cheapest LCGC is priced at IDR 112.8 million, namely the Daihatsu Ayla 1.0 DM/T. Aside from that, several models actually have a tag in the range of Rp. 150 million for the lowest variant. For example, the cheapest Toyota Agya sells for IDR 159.7 million. There is also the cheaper Honda Brio Satya which sold for IDR 157.9 million. One tier above is the Toyota Calya with the cheapest variant priced at IDR 163.8 million.

Meanwhile, if you are attracted to Wuling Air ev, the highest variant, then with the subsidy you only have to pay IDR 215 million. The price is also not too far from the more expensive LCGC. The Toyota Calya, for example, is the most expensive, selling Rp. 183.6 million. So Honda Brio Satya has a tag of IDR 188 million. There is also Toyota Agya which entered for IDR 181.5 million.
