JAKARTA – Sony launches the WF-1000XM4 the newest wireless device from the 1000X series. These WF-1000XM4 headphones feature noise canceling, and are designed to fit all ear sizes.
The new design of the 6mm driver unit with a 20% increase in magnet volume also enhances the noise canceling capability of the WF-1000XM4.

Kazuteru Makiyama, President Director of PT Sony Indonesia, said that the WF-1000XM4 headphones are also supported by the Integrated Processor V1, a microphone with dual noise sensors.
“There is also an Automatic Wind Noise Reduction mode, as well as quality improvements in other features,” said Makiyama, in his statement, Thursday (1/7).
Integrated Processor V1 is claimed to be able to improve sound quality and reduce distortion, as well as enable processing of the LDAC and DSEE Extreme (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) codecs.
Using Edge-AI, DSEE Extreme is expected to improve the quality of compressed digital music files in real time.
In addition, it can also identify musical instruments, musical genres, and individual elements dynamically from each song, such as vocals or interludes.
Then there is the Speak-to-Chat feature that allows users to have short conversations without removing the earbuds.
Speak-to-Chat automatically pauses music and plays ambient sounds, so users can have conversations with headphones on.
Not only that, the Quick Attention mode also allows users to listen to announcements or talk briefly. Users can activate this mode by placing a finger over the left earbud to instantly lower the volume and let in ambient sound.
Then equipped with Adaptive Sound Control, a smart feature that detects the user’s presence and activity, such as while traveling, walking or waiting, then adjusts ambient sound settings for the ideal listening experience.
–For power issues, the WF-1000XM4 is claimed to be used all day for 24 hours. Users can enjoy a full 8 hours of use from the headphones, and an additional 16 hours from the charging case. – .
