The augmented reality glasses from apple They will be called Apple Glass and will be announced this year, according to the latest report from trusted blogger Jon Prosser.
In a video posted Tuesday, May 19, Prosser revealed details of the glasses’ design, price, and how they will work. The specialist has gained confidence and reliability by revealing exact details of recent apple products, such as the iPhone SE released a few weeks ago.
According to the video, Apple would launch these glasses on a par with the iPhone 12, so an event would be scheduled for September or October. The announcement date may change as a result of the coronavirus crisis. If the glasses are advertised in the fourth quarter of 2020, they will most likely be available up to a year later, at a minimum.
Citing anonymous sources, Prosser says the glasses would hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2021, and says that there is even a possibility of a launch until the first quarter of 2022.

The technology specialist claims to have seen a video of the product or at least a prototype of the glasses. In the video – not shown for “legal reasons” – Prosser saw a product very similar to regular glasses but made of plastic, though he suggests the final material may be some metal. Prosser says the glasses don’t look very futuristic or technological, demonstrating Apple’s interest in making them as natural as possible.
However, the Apple Glass itself would be loaded with functions and sensors. In addition to displaying content, the Glass will have the LiDAR sensor that Apple has already started using with the 2020 iPad Pro. The glasses, however, will not have any type of camera, this for privacy reasons, says Prosser.

On the subject of performance, says Prosser, the glasses will necessarily need an iPhone. The specialist says that the situation of the Apple Glass is similar to the first generation of the Apple Watch, which needed an iPhone for most processing tasks. The Apple Glass, therefore, would not have many components and all the information processing tasks would fall on the iPhone.
Last but not least, there is the price. Prosser says that the Apple Glass will be sold for US $ 499, although the price could change, since Apple or a third-party company would charge something extra for the graduation of the glasses, if necessary.
Apple does not comment on rumors or leaks.
