KOMPAS.com – The increase in world crude oil and gas prices in recent times has made the economic price of fuel oil (BBM) and the elp increased significantly.
Despite the increase, PT Pertamina (Persero) as a state-owned energy company still sells fuel and LPG products below their economic prices.
President Director of PT Pertamina Nicke Widyawati explained that the selling price of fuel and LPG set by the Indonesian government was very low.

This causes the government to subsidize fuel and LPG products which add to the burden on the Indonesian state budget.
For example, the government still maintains the selling price of -type fuel Pertamax at a price of Rp. 12,500, while the market economic price has reached Rp 17.950.
“We are still holding on to the price of 12,500, because we also understand that if we raise Pertamax to this high, then” shifting ke Pertalite will happen, and will certainly add to the burden on the state,” Nicke said as quoted from the page PertaminaFriday (8/7/2022).

Price pertalite, solarand LPG if without subsidies
It is known, as of July 2022, there has been an increase in the economic price of fuel and LPG products due to soaring world crude oil and gas prices.
The government also continues to provide subsidies to keep fuel prices and LPG remains stable.
The following is a breakdown of prices without subsidies along with the selling price of fuel and LPG which are currently still being used:
1. Solar CN-48 or Biosolar
- Prices without subsidies: Rp 18.150 per liter
- Government subsidy: IDR 13,000 per liter
- Pertamina selling price: 5,150 per liter
2. Pertalite
- Prices without subsidies: Rp 17.200 per liter
- Government subsidy: IDR 9,550 per liter
- Pertamina selling price: IDR 7,650 per liter
3. Pertamax
- Prices without subsidies: Rp 17.950 per liter
- Government subsidy: IDR 5,450 per liter
- Pertamina selling price: Rp 12,500 per liter
4. Elpi PSO
- Prices without subsidies: RP 15,698 per kilogram
- Government subsidy: IDR 11,448 per kilogram
- Pertamina selling price: IDR 4,250 per kilogram

The government limits subsidized fuel
Registration of subsidized fuel recipient vehicles will be carried out in July 2022.-
Nicke added that the post-pandemic economic recovery had an impact on increasing community mobility, so that the trend of selling fuel and LPG also increased.
If the sales trend continues, it is predicted that pertalite and diesel will exceed the quota set by the government.
Therefore, the government is currently revising the regulations, especially regarding the criteria for vehicles that are entitled to use subsidized fuel.

According to records from the Ministry of Finance, as many as 40 percent of the poor consume only 20 percent of fuel, but 60 percent of the upper class consume 80 percent of subsidized fuel.
Therefore, starting July 1, 2022 Pertamina will begin to register and collect data for vehicles that are entitled to consume subsidized fuel.
Registration is done in three ways, namely the MyPertamina application, website subsiditepat.mypertamina.idand come directly to the gas station.
“For that, we must also ensure the availability of non-subsidized fuel and LPG, so that people who are not entitled to buy subsidized fuel and LPG can easily get non-subsidized fuel and LPG,” concluded Nicke.
