Price List for Electric Motorbikes After Government Subsidies, Some Become IDR 3 Million!

Jakarta

Electric motorbikes receive assistance from the government of Rp. 7 million which will take effect from March 20. The following is the price of an electric motorbike that gets a discount of IDR 7 million.

The price of electric motorbikes will be more affordable along with the application of government assistance. Yes, the government will provide assistance for electric motorbikes in the amount of Rp. 7 million. Not all electric motorbikes will receive this assistance.

According to government requirements, only domestically produced electric motorbikes with a minimum Domestic Content Level (TKDN) of 40% may receive assistance. So far, the Ministry of Industry has noted that three brands of electric motorbikes have received assistance, namely Gesits, Volta and Selis. With the help of Rp. 7 million, the price of electric motorbikes is certainly expected to be cheaper or at least to compete with conventional motorbikes.

So, here is a list of prices for electric motorbikes that will receive assistance from the government:

Gesits

Gesits Raya: IDR 27.99 million with assistance to become IDR 20.99 million
Gesits G1: IDR 28.97 million with help being IDR 21.97 million

Selis Agats: Rp. 14.999 million with help being IDR 7.999 million
Selis New Robin: IDR 17.5 million with help being IDR 10.5 million

It should be noted, the prices above are estimates because some still have off the road status. However, if you pay close attention, the range of motorbikes offered by Selis and Volta will be cheaper than petrol motorbikes in the class of Honda BeAT to Yamaha Mio. Put the cost of obtaining a STNK and managing taxes of around Rp. 1-2 million, then the price will be cheaper than BeAT or Mio. For comparison, the Honda BeAT is currently sold for Rp. 17.82 million, while the Yamaha Mio M3 is Rp. 17.405 million.

In total, the government has set a quota for assistance for electric vehicles. For new electric motorbikes, the number of those who received assistance was 200,000 units. As for the conversion of conventional motors to electric motors, the number is 50,000 units.

The way to get this help is easy. Like buying a new vehicle in general, consumers only need to come to the dealer to make a transaction.

Later the dealer will verify by entering the National Identity Number (NIK) registered on the KTP. If it is deemed appropriate to receive assistance, then the price is immediately cut by IDR 7 million on the spot.

“Prospective buyers come and the dealer will check the NIK on the KTP there. It will be seen whether this prospective buyer is entitled to assistance. If after checking in the system they are entitled to assistance, the buyer will immediately get a discount. The dealer inputs according to the procedure and submits a claim incentives to Himbara bank,” said Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
