Our reader caught a prototype of the new Kodiaq in operation, with minimal camouflage. And he even managed to take a picture of it and shoot a short video as well. Thanks to this, we can get a slightly more concrete idea of what the second generation of the seven-seater SUV will look like.
The car that our reader met on the road lacks the manufacturer’s logo, which makes it more difficult to identify, but we can see elements on it that clearly associate it with the Škoda car company.

This is mainly the characteristic radiator grille, which looks very robust in the prototype, as well as the typical molding on the front hood or split headlights. However, camouflage is visible around the lamps, partially hiding the true shape of the lamps. The front bumper will probably be the same.
Camouflage can also be found at the back, the photo clearly shows that Škoda has covered part of the fifth door between the lights. The design of the stern and, above all, the lamps will therefore very likely be different from the one offered by the prototype. And there will definitely be a large Škoda inscription between the lights.

Let us recall that the second generation of Kodiaq uses the MQB evo platform of the concern, it will be available with diesel and gasoline engines, as well as a plug-in hybrid, and that it will receive a new interior concept with three rotary controls.

Compared to the first generation, the novelty is 61 mm longer (it measures 4,758 mm) and has a more voluminous trunk: 75 liters for the five-seater version, 80 liters for the seven-seater. Škoda claims up to 910 liters.
