TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi ensures that the government is serious about efforts to eradicate corruption. “The government has never played games with efforts to eradicate corruption,” said Jokowi deeply President’s speech 2020 at the MPR Annual Session at the Parliament Building, Jakarta, Friday, 14 August 2020.
Jokowi said prevention efforts corruption should be improved through simple, transparent and efficient governance. “The law must be enforced indiscriminately.”
According to Jokowi, a productive and innovative national ecosystem would not be possible to grow without a conducive legal, political, cultural and educational ecosystem.
High flexibility and simple bureaucracy, said Jokowi, cannot be exchanged for legal certainty, anti-corruption and democracy. “All policies must prioritize environmentally friendly and human rights protection,” said the head of state.
