The Official Gazette published Presidential Decree No. 187 of 2023 to increase pensions as of April 1, 2023.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi decided, within a package of social protection measures, to increase pensions by 15% for all pension beneficiaries nationwide.
The new increase in pensions has been disbursed, starting from the pensions of last April, to all those eligible for pensions at the governorate level.
The increase in the new pensions by 15% and the advance date for disbursement came from the pension of April 2023 instead of the beginning of the new fiscal year, to help citizens withstand the high prices and the current price increases.
