As part of the official campaign for presidential candidate Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, meeting with a number of public figures, experts, entities and institutions that represent all components of Egyptian society, the official campaign received at its headquarters in Cairo Governorate, Dr. Ziad Ahmed Bahaa El-Din, the economic expert and former Deputy Prime Minister.
He was received by the head of the official campaign for candidate Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Counselor Mahmoud Fawzi, who offered greetings and appreciation to Dr. Ziad Ahmed Bahaa El-Din for his visit to the campaign headquarters, stressing that the campaign is keen to listen to the vision of experienced people and sincere lovers of the country, and that the state has made a great effort during the nine years. The latter is to advance the economy despite the major economic crisis that the world is facing as a result of successive crises.
For his part, Dr. Ziad Bahaa El-Din praised the strong infrastructure that has been established to contribute to attracting investment, and that the investment issue will remain the basic gateway to solving all economic problems, as supporting investment will eliminate the exchange rate problem, and will work to increase exports and increase taxes, encouraging an increased role for the sector. Private participation in the economy, and therefore the state ownership document represents a strong foundation that must be activated, and competition must be expanded, protected, and encouraged: discussing the most prominent challenges facing the Egyptian state, stressing the necessity of carrying out structural reform of the economy and that state intervention in it be decreed, understood, and announced.
Ziad Bahaa El-Din proposed a number of different ideas that aim to advance the economy, pointing out the need to activate the role of civil society in the economic aspect, with the need to pay attention to investment in the tourism and health sectors because of their quick economic returns.
