The President of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Samvel Shahramanyan is in Armenia, the politician was not detained by Azerbaijani security forces. Sources close to Shahramanyan told TASS about this.
“Samvel Shahramanyan is already in Armenia, he has not been detained,” the agency’s interlocutor noted. There have been no official statements from representatives of Baku and Yerevan yet.
Earlier it was reported that the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan detained former heads Nagorno-Karabakh Arkady Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan. An hour later on the same day, Arayik Harutyunyan, who also served as head of the unrecognized republic, was arrested.
