President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had lunch with the Minister of Trade (Mendag) who is also the General Chair (Ketum) of PAN Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) at Medja Restauran Bogor, West Java (Jabar), yesterday afternoon. Presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan call this normal, but people can judge.
“It’s just a normal thing for the president and ministers to meet,” said Anies in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Sunday (7/1/2024).
Anies said meetings between the president and his ministers were normal. However, Anies reminded that discussions and decisions must take into account the needs of the community.
“What’s important during the debate is the opportunity for the people to see how to think, how to make decisions, how to convey, like Desak Anies, why did we choose to do Desak Anies? Why have we chosen dialogue all this time? Because we want the Indonesian people to be respected, that’s how we respect the people ,” said Anies.
Anies said that if there is discussion outside the government, then let the public be the judge. The most important thing, said Anies, is that Jokowi must be in the interests of the people, not just the interests of groups.
“Let the people judge, for us change includes restoring the spirit of state life,” said Anies.
“That the president is above all powers, that the president maintains state ethics, the president puts the interests of the state above the interests of the family, the interests of the group. And that is part of the idea of change, so we don’t want our national life to decline,” he added.
Jokowi meets Zulhas
President Jokowi had lunch with the Minister of Trade (Mendag) who is also the General Chair (Ketum) of PAN Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) at Medja Restauran Bogor, West Java (Jabar). Jokowi and Zulhas were seen sitting together at one table in the restaurant.
According to detikcom monitoring, Sunday (7/1), Jokowi arrived at the Medja Bogor restaurant using a black Alphard car at around 12.39 WIB. Jokowi’s arrival was welcomed by Zulkifli Hasan who had arrived earlier.
Jokowi, who was wearing a white long-sleeved T-shirt, immediately walked accompanied by Zulhas into the restaurant. Jokowi greeted several guests before sitting at the same table with Zulhas.
Jokowi and Zulhas approached a number of PAN politicians who were in the restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant seemed busy with visitors eating.
Jokowi and Zulhas were seen sitting at a table facing a small pond. The two appeared to be chatting when Jokowi held white paper.
