President invites ASEAN leaders to visit strategic projects exhibition

On the sidelines of the 43rd ASEAN Summit held in Jakarta, President Joko Widodo invited ASEAN leaders to visit the Strategic Project Exhibition.
[News from our newspaper]On Tuesday (5/9), President Joko Widodo invited ASEAN leaders to visit the inclusive, innovative and collaborative strategic project exhibition on the sidelines of the 43rd ASEAN Summit held in Jakarta.
The exhibition also demonstrates the spirit of ASEAN becoming the center of world economic growth.
According to a press conference held in Jakarta on Tuesday night, the visit to the exhibition after the official opening of the 2023 ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF) summit was held at the ballroom of the Mulia Hotel in Jakarta that day.
The exhibition held in the area outside the ballroom is divided into several exhibition areas such as green infrastructure, sustainable financing, digital transformation, and creative economy.
In each exhibit area, state leaders are given short explanations of projects and ideas that have been completed or are still under development.
In his speech at the AIPF summit, the President said: AIPF aims to transform competition in the Indo-Pacific region into concrete and beneficial cooperation.
The president said AIPF is building a culture of mutual benefit and cooperation where no one feels excluded.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Retno Masutti said in a separate statement that the message from ASEAN has been consistent to make the Indo-Pacific a peaceful, just and prosperous region.
Retno said that through AIPF, the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Outlook (AOIP) concept will be translated into concrete and inclusive cooperation.
“We aspire to the Indo-Pacific to be a peaceful, stable, and prosperous region, and the way to do that is through pragmatic, inclusive cooperation. Again, all the principles that have been the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Vision since the beginning have been translated into the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum.” President Just talked about the project and the value it generates,” the foreign minister said.
