President El-Sisi inspects development of roads and axes in Greater Cairo.. Video

The official page of the official spokesman of the Presidency of the Republic, on Facebook, published a video of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspecting the construction works to develop a series of roads and axes in Greater Cairo this Friday afternoon.

Ambassador Bassam Rady, spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that the President’s visit included his inspection of the development works of the Gamal Abdel Nasser Corridor, which is one of the most vital arteries of New Cairo and East Cairo, which extends to the New Cairo Administrative Capital, and is considered one of the high-traffic axis serving many Citizens, as it carries the movement between the entrance of the Ring Road to the entrance of the New Administrative Capital from the Mohammed bin Zayed axis, which represents an alternative to the ninety north and south axes, as it intersects with a number of other major and important axes such as the Talaat Harb axis, the Muhammad Najeeb axis, the island axis and the transit.

The official spokesman added that the length of the Gamal Abdel Nasser axis is about 11 km and the width of about 45 meters, with a total of 6 lanes in each direction after the development, which will also include troubleshooting the direct intersections. so that the axis is freed and replaced by 5 bridges.

The President reassured the workers on the progress of the works and listened to their opinion, indicating the need to take into account the application of the standard specifications in the construction of the Gamal Abdel Nasser Corridor, including traffic planning works and indicative signs for homes and service areas, taking into account the importance of the material to guarantee the fluidity of traffic in the Corridor and in the axes that intersect it, with the aim of facilitating citizens and promoting the fluid circulation of vehicles.
