President conferred new ranks on five officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Zelensky signed a decree on awarding new ranks to servicemen

Zelenskiy has awarded new ranks to five Ukrainian officers, including the Commander of the Air Force.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday, October 14, signed a decree conferring new ranks on five Ukrainian officers. About it reported on the website of the head of state.

The military ranks of brigadier general were awarded to:

  • Colonel Volodymyr Gorbatyuk – Chief of Staff – Deputy Commander of the Operational Command Zakhid of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

  • Colonel Sergei Litvinov – Commander of the Operational Command Zakhid of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

  • Colonel Anatoly Shevchenko – Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The military rank of Commodore was conferred on Captain 1st Rank Aleksey Doskat, Deputy Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

By a separate decree, the rank of Lieutenant General was awarded to Major General Nikolai Oleshchuk, Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As previously reported, Zelensky posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine two military men.
