What is the presentation of Arab stallions today at the Equipôle du Pays de Landivisiau?
A dozen farms, installed in the 22nd, 56th and a Normandy farm will present fourteen horses in the large covered riding school of the Equipôle. Some will be presented in hand and others will be mounted. The public in the stands will be informed by the comments of the announcer Hervé Guédon, a true “voice of endurance”.
What is the objective of this first edition?
This is to highlight the Arabian horses and Arab half-blood, legendary horses belonging to one of the oldest breeds in the world. The presentation is aimed at a public of breeders likely to be interested in scheduling in-hand service or buying frozen semen, due to the lack of a local breeding station. The Arabian thoroughbred is a bit like the Rolls-Royce of equines, all in elegance, refinement, race and finesse, and its beauty will not leave a less informed public unmoved.
What about the Purebred Arabian market?
There is a national and local market because this horse is appreciated in the field of leisure, among lovers of endurance or model and gait competitions. The most active amateurs on the market are in the Middle East (Dubai, Qatar, Jordan or Saudi Arabia). They redeem champions to perpetuate the breed. But above all, thoroughbreds are a matter of enthusiasts.
