As reported by the usually reliable Winfuture.de, Amazon will launch a new Fire TV Stick tomorrow, which should replace the now antiquated first model. It is not by chance that it will be called Fire TV Stick Lite.
We don’t have any technical details to report to you, but considering the name and appearance, it’s pretty clear we’re talking about a dongle that won’t go beyond full HD and that it will have a remote with microphone to interact with it on Alexa, probably with only slightly updated internal hardware (after all there is no particular need, wanting to stay on the low end). From the images below it is also clear that his packaging will be particularly complete, with remote controller (somewhat redesigned compared to the past) equipped with drums, power supply with micro USB cable (another sign of how “lite” this model is) and even a small one extension cord, so you can connect the Fire TV Stick Lite even in the tightest spaces.
Regarding the remote control, we can notice that the controls for the volume, at least apparently, while there is an unprecedented button with the symbol of a TV, even if we do not know its precise purpose. About the price then, considering that the Fire TV Stick 4K is still at 59 euros and that the first model instead comes 39 €, from this Fire TV Stick Lite we also expect a nice one 29 euros at launch. What do you think, are we too optimistic? If the information of Winfuture will prove to be exact it will not be long before we find out, since the launch seems to be expected already for tomorrow.
