Preparations are advancing for the reopening of the Municipal Theater of Viña del Mar: the closure that was in the front was removed – Viña Del Mar

Given the prompt reopening of the Municipal Theater of Viña del Mar, the Municipality this Monday removed the closure that blocked the view of the front of the venue.

In this way, the view of the heritage building has been recovered, which is protected with the ornamental perimeter fence, one of the last infrastructure works that was carried out within the framework of the restoration of the premises.

The milestone of reopening the Municipal Theater, this Friday, December 1, which will be broadcast by TVN through a special program, in prime time, various authorities have been invited, both political and uniformed, representatives of cultures, the arts, neighbors, municipal officials and social organizations.

ENVIRONMENT IMPROVEMENTS

In addition to the work concerning the theater itself, there are a series of works that the municipality has carried out in its surroundings to highlight the opening milestone and to contribute to the tourist and economic development of the city that the launch of the Theater means.

Thus, through the Operations and Services Area, maintenance work has been carried out throughout the sector.

In addition, to increase security in the surrounding area at night, the time when most of the events that will bring the Theater to life take place, street lighting was improved with a complete replacement of LED lights.

It is worth highlighting the project to improve public lighting in the streets of the Eastern sector of the city, in the perimeter of Crucero, Viana, La Marina and Plaza Vergara streets, between Hotel O’Higgins and the Rodoviario, where 250 LED luminaires were renewed. high technology, with an investment of $74 million from the Undersecretary of Regional Development within the framework of the Neighborhood Revitalization and Emblematic Heritage Infrastructure Program (PRBIPE).

OPENING CEREMONY

Remember that the reopening ceremony will put national and local culture at the center through the presentation, in the overture, of the Waltz, op. 410 “Voices of Spring” by Johann Strauss, with the interpretation of the Angelus quartet, together with dancers from the Classical Dance Chair of the Izidor Handler Municipal Conservatory.

Los Jaivas will also perform with a presentation with a symphonic interpretation, together with the Marga-Marga orchestra and the musicians Francisco Sazo and Nano Stern.

In addition, an audiovisual product that compiles the history of the emblematic municipal complex will be exhibited. This video will be directed by the Chilean filmmaker, director and producer Álvaro Tevo Díaz, nominated for the Oscars with the production of “Beast.”
