Predictions miss the invasion of Ukraine reaps mockery from Russia

Jakarta

Kremlin, officials and public figures Russia compactly mocks the West and its media. This is related to information reporting intelligence predictions of February 16 as the ‘date of the invasion’ of Russia against Ukraine.

The prediction was known to be wrong after it was proven that there were no attacks on Wednesday (16/2) local time in Ukraine.

Reported by AFP, Thursday (17/2/2022) the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, mocked by asking the schedule of the invasion that would take place. He said he wanted to plan his vacation.

“I would like to ask if the source of the misinformation is from the US (United States-red) and the UK, can publish our upcoming invasion schedule for this year. I want to plan my vacation,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova quipped via social media.

In briefing with reporters on Wednesday (16/2) local time, Zakharova continued her satire for Western countries. “Today we celebrate another day of non-aggression against Ukraine, and another day that will bring us closer to the kind of war that everyone promised us,” he said.

The Kremlin or the Office of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, also made mockery in a separate statement.

“The night passed as usual. We slept well. In the morning we started the day calmly and professionally,” Peskov said sarcastically.
