Pražákova Nej.cz buys Telly, itself and three other Czech internet providers

Internet provider Nej.cz, which is fully controlled by the Kaprain investment group Karel Pražák, buys other telecommunications providers. Kaprain is preparing for significant buyouts in Brno, specifically by itself and Telly CE. This follows from the data of the antitrust authority, which received the case for investigation.

“The proposed merger is to take place in particular in the provision of retail Internet access, television and voice services, the construction and operation of telecommunications infrastructure, the provision of wholesale Internet access and the operation of data centers,” states the Office provided that the merger decision has not yet been issued.

The company itself has a 2,200-kilometer-long optical backbone network, data centers, controls the Freebone provider and holds a 14% stake in 4NET.TV. He is the 100% owner Jan Dašovský. Last year’s revenues amounted to 280 million crowns with a profit of almost 16 million. Telly offers internet and television and in 2018 it achieved sales of 54 million with a profit of 273 thousand crowns. He controls the company Jakub Jurásek.

Other transactions are already completed. According to records in the Commercial Register, Nej.cz acquired a stake in the internet provider Neuron online. Kaprain thus has a metropolitan optical network in Prague and its surroundings. He was the sole owner of Neuron Josef Kolařík. He acquired another share of Nej.cz in the Prague company Axonline, which he has so far wholly owned Tomáš Urban.

Nej.cz also bought the Internet provider Pb, which provides optical and wireless connections in Příbram, Beroun and Písek. He takes over the control from the first of October.

Nej.cz also owns Telconet, CATR Chodov, LTnet and Nej Kanál. Last year, the company achieved sales of over 671 million crowns and was at a loss of 98.7 million.
