Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka this morning will register as presidential candidates and vice presidential candidates with the KPU. PBB General Chairperson (Ketum) Yusril Ihza Mahendra revealed that Prabowo had first met Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) in Cikeas, Bogor, ahead of registering with the KPU.
“So he actually told us that he would go to Cikeas for a moment just to be respectful, excuse me, come back here and we will go to Senayan together,” said Yusril at his residence. Prabowoon Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta, Wednesday (25/10/2023).
Yusril said that Prabowo met SBY as a form of respect. Because SBY is Prabowo’s former commander in the TNI.
“I just want to respect him as a former commander, he said that is a tradition in the army even though he is no longer in office,” he said.
After meeting SBY, Prabowo will later head to his residence on Jalan Kertanegara. From his residence, Prabowo will head to Taman Suropati before going to the KPU.
“After that, we will go to the KPU together to carry out the registration and then we will start from Taman Suropati,” he said.
It is known that Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will register with the KPU today. Prabowo and Gibran will start their trip to the KPU by greeting their supporters at the Indonesia Arena, GBK, Senayan.
Secretary General of Gerindra, Ahmad Muzani, said Prabowo and Gibran will meet first at Prabowo’s residence, Jalan Kertanegara, in the morning. After that, Prabowo-Gibran will go to GBK with the chairman of the KIM political party.
“The plan is that tomorrow the group will depart from the Kertanegara 4 residence to the Indonesia Arena Stadium to greet supporters, both from the Forward Indonesia Coalition party and volunteers who have been waiting beforehand,” said Muzani at a press conference on Jalan Sriwijaya, South Jakarta, Tuesday (24 /10).
“The departure of the presidential candidates and vice presidential candidates tomorrow from Kertanegara is planned to leave in the morning for the Indonesia Arena accompanied by the general chairs of the entire Advanced Indonesia Coalition,” he added.
