Potential of Biogas, Processing Livestock Manure to Become Compost Fertilizer Has Added Value, Here’s The Evidence

WARTAKOTALIVE.COM – When you hear the word livestock manure, you often think of environmental pollution.

However, when looking at the other side, there are opportunities that can provide added value for those who are good at processing waste.

That’s how PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) saw the sweet potential of biogas in Cibodas Village, Bandung.

Through the Kampung Madani program, PNM trains villagers to be able to process cow manure in their village into compost and fuel for cooking.

Kampung Madani itself is a PNM-built village that was planned for the community to develop its agricultural, economic, educational, and social potential.

Until now there are 11 Madani Villages spread across Indonesia with 14 empowerment activities that have been carried out by PNM during 2023.

PNM’s dream of building an ecosystem that provides holistic benefits has come true.

Through the training program, customers and villagers in general are now able to produce biogas products.

The results are often used for the benefit of society or sold widely.

The variety of products that can be sold by PNM Mekaar’s customers themselves is now increasing.

Namely in the form of vermicompost products produced by the Mekaar Tani group.

One of the beneficiaries of the biogas training is the Eti family.

Eti works as a vegetable farmer, while her husband raises several cows at home.

She and her husband were trained to be able to process cow manure into fertilizer which can also be used, Eti to loosen the vegetables they grow.
