PostNL delivers delivery of advertising brochures | NOW

PostNL sells subsidiary Spotta, which throws 5.2 million brochure packages through the letterbox throughout the Netherlands every week. According to PostNL, the delivery of advertising brochures no longer fits the activities that the company wants to focus on. All Spotta shares are sold to Arcis, a management company.

“The relationship with employees and the contracts and obligations therefore remain in place within Spotta,” said PostNL on Thursday when the agreement was announced. “The sale enables PostNL to focus on its activities and to further develop into the logistics service provider for mail and e-commerce.”

Around 20,000 delivery staff work at Spotta. According to PostNL, the company is the market leader in leaflet distribution. It is not disclosed what Arcis will pay for the acquisition. The intention is for the deal to be completely completed by the end of February. The Spotta brand remains.
